Rural Americans Against Racism
Rural Americans Against Racism was born during the Black Lives Matter protests of 2020.
An LCLG founding member began attending events with that phrase - Rural American Against Racism - on their sign. The message resonated with people. After conversations regarding the power of those 4 words, bumper stickers were made. When those were distributed quickly, a batch of yard signs was purchased next. The movement grew from there.
The mission is simple: bring visibility to rural Americans that stand against racism. Find, distribute media and encourage dialogue with those willing to take a public stand and engage their neighbors on a local level in having direct conversations about race.
We continue to offer free RAAR sticker shipping nationwide. After initially offering free yard signs in our local region we began to receive many out of state requests and now offer yard signs for sale with national shipping through Zazzle. LCLG makes a small profit from each sale that goes back into our general fund for all projects.
